Hotels, Vendors, Public Sector, and Students are encouraged to attend this training and learn how to help your hotels achieve the FL Green Lodging Designation.

This training series will feature three of the top Florida Green Lodging professionals in the state.  JoAnn Shearer is the DEP Program Coordinator for the Florida Green Lodging Program.  Prior to becoming the Green Lodging Coordinator, JoAnn worked as the Guest Services Director for a retreat and conference center in Colorado.  Peter Goren is the founder and President of the American Green Lodging and Hospitality Association.  Prior to this, Peter helped to establish and was the Director of the Florida Green Lodging Program.  Daniel Meeroff is an Associate Professor at Florida Atlantic University’s where his area of specialization is Environmental Engineering.  Daniel Meeroff is a certified assessor for the Florida Green Lodging Program.

Public sector employees will be elegible to support the Florida Green Lodging Program as auditors.

• Advanced topics in Green Lodging

Registration starts at 8:00.  Lunch will be provided by Mayer Electric

In the afternoon we will be conducting a mock audit in the hotel where we put your new knowledge into practice.
